Professor Myra Conway

EMERGE project co-lead, University of Derby

Professor Myra Conway is Associate Provost for Innovation and Research at the University of Derby, where she leads cross‑university research development and oversees the Biomedical and Clinical Science Research Theme. Her work promotes interdisciplinary, translational research with strong relevance to rehabilitation, particularly through her team’s focus on redox biochemistry, ageing, neurodegeneration and biomarker development, areas central to understanding cognitive decline and informing rehabilitative care pathways. She has previously led research teams for 18 years at Brighton and UWE, advancing knowledge in redox signalling in Alzheimer’s disease and breast cancer and supervising more than 100 student research projects.
