Steve Morgan is Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Nottingham, where he develops medical devices with advanced sensing capabilities, including smart endotracheal tubes and wound‑monitoring dressings. His research spans biomedical optics, wearable sensors, imaging and sensing for regenerative medicine, and technologies that support monitoring of tissue healing and microcirculation. He is Director of the Centre for Healthcare Technologies, bringing together academia, industry and healthcare partners to accelerate translation of innovations into clinical use. A Fellow of the Institute of Physics and of SPIE, he has led collaborations supporting healthcare technology adoption.
